Just started learning how to raise praying mantises! Hatching them is easy enough, but keeping them alive is really hard. They require very tiny food, usually starting off with fruit flies and pinhead crickets. I could not find a store in San Antonio, Texas, that sold pinheads. Three months have passed and I have one out of the TWO HUNDRED alive! It is an inch and a half now. He's eating 1/4 inch crickets now. I have learned that they like to eat things that are no longer than the length of their forearm.
